    I can't play online so I can only give advice. But, why don't you do the quests at the village first? They are easier to solo. You will also get valuable materials to forge with.

    Very small thing but make sure you also read the room name. Sometimes it says everyone welcome but the room name is "Grank Jaggi" or "HR50+". You can also press R while in the menu to see the HR of

    The one who made the room of if they are in the port or a quest. Try not to join rooms with people way ahead of your hr unless its a room with a name like "helping lows"

    Yes, port raises hr. But if jump right into online, your equipment, supplies and possibly skill may be lacking.

    Not true. You can upgrade faster in the port than village. Plus the village is really easy after playing port quests.
