2 questions: how do i get carbalite ore? how do i use smoke bombs effectively?

Carbalite Ore is mined in high rank. If you throw a smoke bomb down before a large monster has spotted you it won't see you unless you hit it. They last about 30 seconds. Good for 2 monster arena

Village 6* and up and port 3* through 5* are high rank. Monsters are tougher and you get new materials. Subspecies also show up.

Once you enter village 6*, quests given in 6* and on will be high rank, quests in 5* and lower are still low rank.
