    All the Large Blades are good. GreatSword, Longsword and Switchaxe. SnS or Dual Blades is alright too. Sometimes harder to do with Lances, but still good. Hammer is NOT POSSIBLE.

    It is 'Technically' Possible to do with the HILT attack of the Hunting Horn, Bow Melee, or Slicing S Bowgun Ammo ... but don't bother trying. Really ... don't try.

    If the tail is easily within reach, GS does a grand job of cutting tails. LS and SWAX are better for faster targets, and have a somewhat higher swing arc for tails that are higher up.
