there seems to be a misunderstanding of the term next gen. next gen short for generation is the new version of a product line. so yes wii u is the next gen for Nintendo. wii was last generation

    yes but that's not what determines the next generation it's whatever is released next, as i said for Nintendo this is their next generation and yes graphics are weaker but they do other stuff...

    you're both missing the point rather wii u is as good as ps4 and xbox one isn't what defines if it's next generation. As i said in my first comment its next gen for Nintendo, wii was last generation

    i love wii u but what makes it not net gen is the fact that it has the same cpu architecture as the wii. since all next gen is pc cpu and thats what devs are developing for.

    Nintendo should have used industry standard on everything. The rumours of the fusion is what the wii u shoudve been. It has monster pc cpu and the wii u cpu for backwards compatibility.

    the Wii U, Xbox 1and PS4 are now current gen. What I don't understand is why Nintendo doesn't beef up thier cpu. The Wii and Wii U are under powered compaired to the competition.
