Alright, lets start an old age debate. Does quickscoping (obviously with snipers) take skill?

it's really the only way to play these games where I'll feel entirely responsible for my aim. I don't do 'well,' but I'm having much more fun with the controls.

The snap on stuff from the aim assist is rarely ever noticable and when it does happen it seems to be more annoying than anything else. I spent 2,000+ hours with each controller in the past 4 years.

I know each controllers strengths and weaknesses. The wii remote really doesn't need AA really because of it's more precise movements. The dual analogs aren't meant for FPS games so therefore they do

need some amount of aim assist. The snap on you talk about isn't the reason for QSing being so annoying. It does make it easier but I've known some QSers who are just as annoying and they didn't use

AA. The main reason for QSing is the the scope goes to the center of the screen after ADS that paired with fast ADS times can make a sniper rifle as effective as a SMG.

Yes well, much like the majestic Yeti, I have yet to find a quick scoper running around without aim assist.. mostly because again, it doesn't make any sense.

Without AA, it'd just be zooming directly where your cursor was, (yes I'm even including wiimoters here, so not just center screen) so if the sniper had already had his cursor aligned on an enemy,

from the hip, why would they be wasting time having to go down sights (for a tenth of a second..) only to immediately pull the trigger? Why aren't they taking the shot from the hip?

The game's aim assistance is the MAIN factor in quick scoping, and it's impossible to argue otherwise.

You're argument is invalid. I've played in private match quickscope lobbies where we all disabled AA. Over time we adjusted to the lack off AA and quickly became able to QS once again. AA is just a

scape goat for wii moters. Sounds just as stupid as when DAers hate on wii mote for not having to aim.

Lol! Well it's quite simple then really. *IF* that actually happened, you and your band of Yetis weren't in a quick scoping match.

It was more a 'hey let's needlessly ADS to immediately fire a bullet where we could more effectively be no scoping' match. =P

Alright, I think I'm done with this thread. To summarize, in the grand scheme of gaming skill, quick scoping requires a modicum, sure..

but it requires SO much less skill than everyone else playing the game legitimately. What's far more impressive to me is the quick scopers complete lack of shame.

I will agree on your second to last comment^ For the average player who doesn't QS even with AA enabled it's more luck then skill.
