@JC LOS 2 picked up a 6 from Game Informer and was summ up as a insult to Castlevania fans. After watching 40 mins into the game on youtube the game should of been called Castle Gear. plays like MG.

    i think people r tired of backtracking, & the idea of killing endless respawning enemies hoping a better item will drop for hours" leveling" getting lost? it's insanity. ain't nobody got time for that

    or at least be like mario, have your platformer & rpg ex: 3d world,nsmb, & paper mario. if i want an rpg mario it is separate. castlevania turned into nothin but an rpg,no choice for the hardcore.

    iga may be directly responsible for the demise of castlevania. see the great castlevania nes 1,3 & snes 4. when iga made it into a maze ,puzzler,rpg, he ruined it for many. thanx

    cv 2 was ruined becuz it was an rpg, they never gave up destroying it though. sotn i believe became the beginning of the end. konami is trying to pump in some life by getting rid of insane developers

    As much as I love Castlevania I think it has ran it's course. The story element has so many entrys that it's hard to keep track of. Todays gamers well not all but most don't like side scrollers.

    I hate to think of it but I think the good old days are over for side scrolling games like Castlevania 1-4 and SNES Dracula X. I've been gameing since 1987 and I think the series I like are dead.

    possibly, i played the mutant mudds game,vvvvvv, & gunman clive on 3ds.best 3 indy games yet. got bittrip runner 2 wiiu & 2 fast 4 gnomes 3ds. both r good too,a lil too fast tho,lol. we still hav nsmb

    loved the original contra for nes. contra 4 ds would hav been my all time favorite, but they forgot to implement the konami code? u,u,d,d,l,r,l,r,b,a,start! how could they forget this???

    konami is booting these rpg fanatics left and right. bringing back classic side scrolling mayhem with a new game 'mighty no. 9' i prefer goth themes vs futuristic ones though.

    that's another reason i really liked cv was the castle,ancient themes. god of war had these ancient themes also, making it really primitive weaponry (great) kid icarus has an ancient theme also.
