I'm astonished a kid agrees with me. Besides, Carter, for your age it's not right for a kid, not yet in his teens, to be playing a mature game.

Just because it's cool, doesn't mean it's OK to play the game. It's effects are more hameful to a kid's mind than you think it is. I even met a 4-year-old on the Wii playing CoD.

There was even a video of a kid crying cause he got his Grand Theft Auto game taken away. What the heck? I'm voting against underaged gaming for reasons I believe are not for the sake of...

"omg bloody gaming, kids must be banned from gaming," but for reasons I believe are spoiling the children. Kids need to wait until they are mature both physically and mentally. No exceptions.

Besides, becoming 17/18 years old is inevitable. It's going to happen so there's no point to be allowing children on a game that's meant for grown ups.

It's not about "what" the effects are, it matters on "how" it effects them. And the parents are the main issue about underaged gaming. Regardless of whom.

Some parents own the game themselves and are thinking "it's just a game." But the question is, what does this game mainly revolve around? Besides blood and killing of course... T_T

I do not blame games for the crimes, but I do blame the parent's decision of allowing their child on a rated M game when they do not fully understand the world around them.

A game is a tool for entertainment, but some forms of entertainment, like Family Guy, have negative influences. Especially on young minds.

Take Grand Theft Auto for example, it's a game where you can commit crimes. So, if the child so young plays it, it's more than likely they'll attempt it in the future.

But blaming a game for the crimes is just as stupid as blaming the guns.

I do not hold the games responsible, I hold the ones allowing a young child to play on it responsible.

Regardless, I honestly believe kids should just wait. Kids start thinking they're cool cause they got the game. Believe me, I heard ALOT at school back in elementary.

Like you said, Fissure-, kids start talking like they're some kind of gangster or some junk like that. Plus, almost every mic-user I encounter is a kid...

CoD ain't going anywhere, and they're going to turn 17 sooner or later... So, I don't see a reason to be letting kids play a rated M game.

OK, Anthony, think of it this way... How much does a child at age 5 know? Little to nothing right? Where do they get most of their smack? From their family, or the games they play.

When I say it does effect their young minds, it's a minor influence, but it's enough to get them started. See where I'm getting at?

I know, but the longer they play the rated M game, the more likely chances of them becoming tempted to do something bad.

Because the parents allow their kids on a rated M game, it's the parents fault, not the games. For raising them and exposing them to content made for audiences of an older age.

All I'm saying is it's too early for them to be playing a game meant for a later age. I even encountered a freaking 4-year-old!! I'm not exaggerating, a 4-year-old!

Man... So many children so young using language not meant for children to hear, let alone, use... I'm utterly disappointed in the parenting being put into today.

I may not be a parent myself, but I do understand well enough to know it's a HUGE responsibility. I've watched my parents raise me and my sibs for quite some time.

Where my mom grew up, if you used foul language in the household, you get soap on your tounge... This was not the toxic kind of soap, mind you, but it's still gross.

I guess, but my parents wouldn't let me own my own CoD game till I turned into an official adult. You know what, I think they were right to keep me from getting the game till the right age.

I'd prefer if nobody under the age of 13 played a rated M. With or without mics.

The only "fun" I see is parents letting children, who don't know a dang thing about our world, on something they are not old enough to understand yet. Now that's "fun".

I get that same feeling when I get on MW3. Even though it's hacked, I guess the feel of Modern Warfare won't wear out it's charm.
