    A Fire weapon is recommended. Also, use armor that's resistant to Lightning.

    Barroth armor is pretty good itself. But try a fire lance. You can shield against all attacks (even the super AoE electrical atk by regular Lagiacrus can be blocked one time, knocking you back

    The + atk that makes you run with the weapon unsheathed is also good for dodging some attacks, or by rushing past the Lagi while hitting it, to get to the side of it that won't be hitting you in its

    next attack. Hit X as finisher when you've gotten far enough, or use the rush to gain ground and hit X on contact (strongest lance attack, but regular rushing does little raw and depletes sharpness)

    You can also turn away from the Lagi or in the opposite direction you want to dodge while unsheathed and hit B to backhop. (also hit B to stop the rush atk faster if you are say dodging)

    1 last thing about lancing. The A A A combo is stronger than X X X. But use X whenever you need to push forward a tiny bit or when A's degree of angle will miss when X will hit.
