why would konami decide to change castlevania into a card trading rpg type of game,then into a terrible fighting game (wii) then into a backtracking go nowhere metroid type into whatever loshadows is?

Konami never said no to any Metroidvania game. What they resisted him on were remakes and collections, and they never gave him enough time or money to make great games. LoS2 is now failing b/c of them

contra wii was atrocious, never mind the high heel wearing, cross dressing lance beam in the ending! contra ds was great, but they left out the konami code: ↑↑↓↓←→←→ ba start!!!! which now brings the game down to a 6 or 7 konami is trying to destroy their franchises. i know for one, i will never again buy a konami game on day one. i'll wait for several meta critic reviews & youtube reviews first!

and if they're mediocre, i'll buy them used only. los 2 3ds = mediocre, konami used to crank out some of the best games in the world. not anymore though.

not a big fan of contra sequels because konami threw their franchises in the toilet since original contra nes,still the best one! yes,leaving out the code alienated a huge fan base. even easy mode is too difficult for most 90percent of gamers if not more w/out the code it's less enjoyable to them. way forward tried to help them revive the franchise with contra 4 which i count as the only true

contra sequel, & awesome as contra 4 is, konami made sure that they couldn't use the code! which now knocks the game down to a 6 & continues to alienate their fanbase. contra 4 would of had perfect scores, but nope, it's all about the slow destruction of the franchises. my last hope for them was castlevania los = life support. pull theplug & b done with it.kid dracula was the last true castlevania

i don't think super c is considered canon in the timeline even according to konami. & i just don't get why they alienate the fans that made the series famous? way forward still got skillz though, like to put stock into that company, see shovel knight for how it's done. wayforward ftw! buy konami used, but buyer beware!

The first Contra was in the arcade, and it didn't have the code either. The code came from Gradius originally, but it really isn't in a lot of games. The only non-canon Contras were the PS1 games, Probotector & Contra Force, (I think the timeline is in Contra 4 for reading). As for Kid Dracula being the last true Castlevania... there you're just being silly, & I can't discuss that seriously at all

kid dracula is an awesome game! perfect really, nothing silly about it at all! yes the very first ever contra was arcade, but we were talking consoles. & yes contra nes had a code to help people who didn't hav 12hrs a day x at least a months practice + lightning reflexes+ muscle memory skills, could beat the game on an enjoyable level. contra 4 ds is great, but THEY LEFT OUT THE CODE!

and i might add, if wayforward hadn't been heavily involved in the development of contra 4 , it would've been much worse than it is. konami needs to quit turning their characters into crossdressers also, see contra rebirth wii! absolute garbage! & totally unnecessary to a video game. nintendo is also in a decline also, greed of the ceo's & shareholders. see wii u code 150-1031 dirty disk? lol

the error code freezes wiiu games now, discs aren't dirty or scratched. they want everyone buying digital, & a form of planned obsolesence. nintendo used to make great hardware & had power! now: not so good hardware, & lacks in power.

we get the error code all the time now after the latest update, plus wii u runs slower than it did. just shows u that they can & are making retail games not work to push digital media, even when digital becomes the only option, they'll just send an update to drag down the hard drives to mess them up. why do they do this? greed, simply greed. sad really

I don't think this is the right place to discuss everything you have on your mind, it's your topic and you say what you will but if you don't have time to beat any Contra without a code, I can't make time to answer all the points you make. Every has their favorite games in a series, and no developer can please everyone... your expectations seem rather lofty. I wish you luck in finding, whatever...

i can possibly beat contra 4 without the code, don't have the time right now though, moved on to better games, like shovel knight, but do u think my children could? doubtful. it is nice to have a difficulty level setup on multiplayer that you and your kids can play to beat the game. contra nes (has the code) & metal slug series are plain awesome. very few companies are doing anything but scams

it is sad to see the state that the videogame industry is in, not just konami, but across the board. e3 was the worst ever! gamers were simply happy that ps4 would b able to play used games!...lol cuz they know the video game industry is in a decline so much, that all that is left is extracting what's left. i'm a huge retro gamer anyway so it doesn't affect me directly, & pc gaming is on the rise

because of the console manufacturers greed & lies. that's where i bought shovel knight. i'm selling wii u & will buy either the xbox or ps, which ever one has a bigger homebrew community & easiest to access the nand of the system. the wiiu error code is a software created one. meaning that nintendo itself is destroying my retail disc. over 5000 other wii u gamers r petioning for a recall.

If there's a problem with the system, they'll repair it... for free if it's still under warranty. That's all I will say about that, send all your concerns to Nintendo support. That's your best bet.
