Question

if i use, for example, a thunder switch axe with 1000 attack on a thunder resistant monster, and another axe with 1000 attack power but no element, which will do more damage? or will they do the same?

    Maybe the same since thunder resistent monsters are immune to the thunder status effects.

    What are the phials? If the thunder one has a power phial and the other doesn't, then the thunder one will still outdamage the normal one if you use sword mode.

    No, because it would only effect the elemental damage not the raw.
