What's the best game in this series?I don't mind if it's really hard, and I own every platform that international releases have been on. Speaking of which, please stick to international releases.

    In my opinion, FreedomUnite is the best Monster Hunter game. It's on the psp and I think you can download it on vita.

    Well seeing as mh4 is goin 2 be released internationally as an expanded version imo 4th gen is the best so far of the main series and is pretty challenging itself, especially the later online-

    Yup, FreedomUnite is definitely the best, but portable 3rd is also good. Though, portable 3rd is pretty much MH3U for the PSP. Maybe even better.

    -high rank quests and the new type of guild quests, the mysterious forest quests which are far harder than any quests in previous titles once u lvl those monsters up in the 90's and up.

    And its G-ranks may be even harder but aside from difficulty of certain quests its definitely the most fun in the series IMO.

    But as 4 the ones thats currently out NOW 3U is the most enjoyable one 2 me but challenge wise its the old gens due 2 them not being as improved like the system is now with the modern day gens.

    P3rd isn't even close to MH3U. It has almost no content in comparison, MH3U didn't include a lot of improvements P3 made (amazing farm, back to cats, slightly unobfuscated damage numbers, others)

    didn't have GR, actually had good elder dragons. MHFU is the definitive version, the hardest and with the most content. I'm going to say P3rd is the best, if only because you can play it online on PC.

    I can't compare older than MHFU. But Freedom Unite was REALLY fun and challenging. I used the bow on everything at least once, sometimes more. But bow hunting the double Rajang village quest was fun!

    i think the best is mh portable 3rd, its more fun, the felynes are very funny, and have a good monsters like akantor, ukanlos, amatsumagatsuchi
