as we left off, the two warriors of the mountain city, rathanna and rathayn, were stuck in the ocean of sand while journeying to the colossus, the holding place of the wyvernian competition
but while still stuck, fate did not give up on them, and the two were saved by a portly man with a passion for sand sailing, niligan, and the trio are heading towards a former trading town
«why did niligan have a scared look on his face when we chose this town» rathanna thought to herself, she looked back at niligan with a curious look, though niligan seemed friendly, his smile is gone
«curious......» still intent on the subject «either he's just a superstitious man, or he's not telling us the entirety of what were dealing with» niligan did not notice the lookings of rathanna
still stareing into what secrets lie in the head of niligan, rathanna's concentration was broken by a sudden touch on the shoulder, she gently snapped back into reality, its was her husband, rathayn
'' are you alright?'' rathayn asked worriedly, rathanna gave him a soft smile then rubbed his cheek,'' im quite fine dear, just a little preoccupied on our destination''
''im just a little concerned, you have not been talking since the incident with the quicksand....'' rathanna, trying to reassure her love'' its alright, im just thinking love, you i think a lot''
'' i know...'' looking at his hand with the recollection of events that his anger was involved, though his hand was grasped by his wife with a warm touch, he looks up, she still smiles
rathayn smiles too,'' im just worried for my wife.....my beautiful wife...'' the two look at each others eyes with kindness and love, niligan just watched, he see's the two have a sincerity about them
rathanna then blushed, '' sorry if all this is getting to soft for you niligan'', niligan only waved with smile,'' aye, think nothing of it....i can see that both have love in yer hearts, tis great''
then with a hardy laugh, grabs rathayn around the neck with his arm,'' aye, she's a keeper,HAHAHA'' his big smile coming back again, rathayn,however, is suffocateing at the time as well
rathanna gave a soft chuckle, while the comical antics of rathayn and niligan continue, and rathayn's face is starting to turn blue and he desperately tries to claw for oxygen
though rathanna is still in wonder of what could be in this town that niligan wouldn't even dare mention, but while the trio are sailing smoothly towards the strange town, sinister goings arise
in a castle made of stone and clay, darkness surrounds a throne, the dead silence is the loudest in the area, but this silence is broken by footsteps, a shady figure approaches the vacant throne
the figure then stops in front of this chair of high order, then turns around, and sits, the light if a candle wick suddenly ignites, the figure starts to gain definition in the dim light
the light shimmered off the faded gold armor, it was rough, and the build itself seeming to belong to the wearer is tremendous, and terrifying, even the spikes on the armor were shining
on the right side of the throne there lay a double headed maul, the size of it could even bring mountains to destruction, and through the partial darkness, the eyes of this person was piercing through
the wick's flame blew in this mans direction, the light had shown his face, buzzed hair, a scar running down his mouth, and jagged teeth, the noticeable thing about the man.....his purple eyes
''dilos......'' the man eyes shifted into the remaining darkness, another figure, slightly feminine, but still in the same sort of armor the man, dilos was wearing
through still rather indifferent, dilos took the piping hot cactus, and ate it as if it was nothing more than a mere treat,'' i thank you sister, your loyalty to me shows truth'' dilos still eating
after he was done the man looked at the woman,''mother would be proud, blana...'' the woman looked up witn a sister smile,'' yes but father wouldn't have had the same reaction......if he survived..''
dilos rose and and walked slowly through the hall of his throne room,'' indeed, father was weak, soft.......he needed to be....'delt' with...'' this just made blana smile,''we are better dilos...''
''yes....we are...better than father, this town thought it had the praise of jhen-tsuchi, but instead they sparked my wrath...'' dilos stopped at a large window, showing him the dead town
'' this pathetic grouping of peasants......weak.....i will bleed them dry of everything they own, money, health, hope......everything'' the evil man had been this towns curse, and so it continues
dilos was looking to his husk of a town, then his eye was caught, by a small boat, there on the boat, three people...........his wealth would soon increase with three more slaves
'' blana, fetch my maul, im going to greet our new commers...'' his eyes fixated on the new arrivals, blana had a sinister gleeful look,'' yes brother...''
rathayn, rathanna, and niligan had landed finally on the desert trade town, though it seemed as lifeless as the sands themselves, rathayn worried, and rathanna stunned
there continuous watching of the lifeless area was broken by niligan,'' aye.....this town is.......was, a great trading outpost. people came far and wide to just get a glimpse of its splendor''
niligan walked off his skiff, the sand stirred a little with each step he took, rathayn then exited the skiff as well, he took rathanna's hand and aided her off the skiff
niligan was still walking in to the desolate area, till he hit (what seemed) the town square, niligan then stared at a large fountain with much focus.....and silence
only the wind blowing through the sands and stone seemed to make any kind of a sound, rathanna and rathayn both standing not to far from niligan, rathanna seemed concerned for niligan
rathanna then looked at rathayn,'' rathayn, look around for anyone....or anything that could aid us, im going to talk to niligan'', rathayn was hesitant at first, but saw truth in rathanna's words
rathanna then slowly approached niligan, she was standing beside niligan, she also looking at the well, she looked at niligan face, it looked hard with memory
rathanna then tried to talk to niligan, but he said the first words,'' this my home in me younger days. just a child i was, me mum took me to this well, it symbolized prosperity, but now...''
rathanna then kept looking at niligan, then at the well, '' im......sorry, your home...'', niligan then breathed in, then talked some more,'' aye, its not your fault lass, just bad leadership''
rathanna then looked confused,'' wait, i thought this town prosperous due to the leader here?'', niligan then looked rathanna,''right it was........was is what i said''
'' so the leader WAS good, now bad?'', niligan looked at the large clay and stone palace at the north end of the town,'' half right there, there was an old leader, led us good, great even, but...''
niligan paused for second,''......but, he was killed.....by his children...'', rathanna was then stunned,'' killed.....by his children?! thats horrible!''
'' no lass, what was truly horrible about the two, was they smiled while they took his life......they were horrible leaders, draining this poor town practicaly everything''
rathayn was standing there by the door of the abandoned store, listening to the story of the town, niligan went on,'' now the are bandits, and attack any wayfarer who even looks at this place''
then there was laughing off in a dark alleyway, opposite of where the three were standing,'' how could they, all of these people were spineless and weak''
out came a large man with a menacing maul, and a woman with a incredibly spiked morningstar,'' all these people, includeing you ferry man, all of you were too afraid''
dilos only nodded,'' give us your valuables, and you could go free, or, better yet, you two can be our servants, quite an honor if you ask me'' rathayn only sneered at dilos
dilos laughed,'' oh we have a man with an attitude, eh blana? how about we teach him proper manners'','' wait, can i do it dilos, i want to make him mine'' blana said with a seductive tone
rathayn raised up his left hand,then pointed at the ring on his finger,'' sorry, already married'',''hmm, we may have to cut off the finger, just in case''
rathanna pulled out her lance,'' if you try anything on my husband, i swear, i will make you hurt'' rathayn also pulled out his scimitars,'' prepare for our flame, evil ones''
both blana and dilos laughed at the scene in front of them,'' eh blana, how about we break 'em, then make them our servants......if there still breathing'','' oh what a marvellous idea brother!''
the wind blew, old rags of curtains were blowing, window blinds were opening and closing, the sun was already in midday, light beat down on the four warriors
he jumped high into the air, almost blocking out the sun, dilos readied his maul for the incoming attack, rathayn seemed to hover in the air, then sped directly towards dilos
rathayn's scimitars hit dilos's maul with enough force to make a sandstorm, blana was so interested on the power rathayn had, she did not notice rathanna charging spear first
blana dodged the charge, then she swung her morningstar at rathanna's head, she ducked the blow, then swun the broadside of her lance at blana, it hit directly on its mark and threw blana back
rathayn swung both of his scimitars at dilos with speed an ferocity, sparks flew from the hits of the scimitar and maul, dilos swung only once and just the air of swing just decimated the area
the force of the swing made rathayn fly back, he crashed into a clay building, the building just crumbled on top of him, rathanna only cried out to rathayn, but was cut short by blana
blana had hit rathanna in the stomach, rathanna just lost all of her air, blana pulled rathanna close,'' i think your hubby can't hear you anymore'' blana laughed, and hit rathanna again
blana continued to hit rathanna, rathanna could not even retaliate, nevertheless even breathe. rathanna was on the ground, blana grabbed her armor,'' you going to cry?HA, knew you were weak''
dilos walked toward blana,'' are YOU going to end this?'','' fine, any last words before you join your husband'' rathanna only said one quite word'' .....r.r.rath..rathayn...''
rathanna had passed out uttering those last words,'' well that ends that'' blana joining with her brother, the ruble of the destroyed house started to move
dilos noticed this,''huh?'', the destroyed mess of clay and stone was melting, and the beat red mesh of stone and clay made way to rathayn, his eyes were as red as the flame that enveloped him
dilos was taken back, blana grabbed dilos's shoulder,'' i thought he was dead'', dilos sneered at blana, but his anger was cut short by rathayn's immense heat
his breathing made way for fire,'' you.......hurt my wife.....now, IM GOING TO END.YOUR.EXSISTANCE!!'' and a torrent of fire was sent at blana and dilos
the heat turned the sand on the ground into glass, rathayn actually roared at the two, and he swung his bright yellow scimitars, creating a tornado of fire
rathanna had woken up from her injuries, and had bare witness at rathayn's rage, through the fire was burning his own body, rathanna had rose and limped toward rathayn
his own fire was harming his body in this tornado of flame and rage, dilos and blana were definitely taken back by rathayn's power, and therefore, they retreated
rathanna did not hesitate in entering the inferno, she covered her face with her emerald green gauntlet, though she could not see rathayn in this hellish furnace
then she bumped into somthing, and moved her hand, it was rathayn, his body was covered with burns, but his anger prevented any kind of feeling, only his roars filled the inside of the fire
rathanna was horrified by her husbands rage, she wrapped her arms around rathayn,''.....im alright, please.....stop!'' her cries were sounded in vain, and her tears only evaporated in the fire
rathanna only cried one last time,'' RATHAYN'', rathayn heared this, and he looked down at the pain he was causing his wife'' r..rathanna?!'' then the fire died down, rathayn held rathanna
his body was red, burned, and rathanna had a few burns on her as well, though her armor was still intact, and rathayn only has his greaves and waist armor
