To beat him... You have to dodge his skulls, and shoot him wherever he goes, and follow him when he's transporting in his flame, so he'll spawn frequently.

And be sure to bathe in the Holy Water in the room to the left hand side where the fish/shrimp wizards are prior to facing the boss... You'll need it :P
