Learning the basics! I finally have a game I can completely play just by using the gamepad touchscreen! My gamepad used to just collect dust as I played Call Of Duty with wiimote.

how does the touchscreen work?

It's basically like you are playing on a tablet or touchscreen smartphone. Click on a piece and then click where you want it to move.

You can use the buttons and control stick/pad too lol. Also take pics and post on miiverse. :P

oh, well, most games can take pictures like that. (almost ALL games) so, i really don't count that. besides that's really a feature of the wii u, NOT gamepad.

It has off tv play so you don't even need the tv so you can watch something on tv while playing chess on your gamepad.

Yes it has a very good tutorial mode.
