    it should have been in, but with limitations. 1) optional full match chat when playing privately with friends. 2) non private matches should have it, but you can only hear people within distance

    This is why we should have cross game chat. If we had it, MK8 no in game chat wouldn't be a problem.

    if we're all bunched up we can hear each other, or if your passing someone. it wold be realistic cause you wouldnt hear someone unless they were close. & it minimizes the affect of annoying players.

    Exactly to the person who said we should have cross game chat. We can talk to our friends and delegate who we want to talk to. There could even be an option to turn it off or mute people.
