Yup. I want the Wii U to succeed. But I don't think Nintendo does

It's true. 3DS is sitting pretty, wii u is holding on for dear life.

I actually recommend wii u to a lot of people. It's got a solid lineup of games that are getting cheaper. Hopefully E3 will give us another solid lineup for the second half of 2014

Super Smash Bros will likely go down as the greatest portable fighting game of all time. It's awesome for 3DS owners, it will likely introduce new players in the 3ds base to Smash, carry them to Wii U

Was saying earlier we're suppose to get Bayonetta 2 and maybe 1 re released, X, Yoshi's Yarn perhaps, MK8 coming up and Zelda Warriors...who knows what we learn before and after E3. Tons of indies too

Fernando, I agree with everything you said. 100%. With the smash announcment, I'll probably get it on my 3DS, maybe on my wiiu later. But if the 3DS version is as awesome as it seems, I may skip wiiu

If it was released at the same time, I might have bought the WiiU version. :/

Jon you're ever the optimist. Rainz It will be.All those games are in the pipeline, but Nintendo wont release wiiu games that close together.Unless its on the 3ds..I think smash not being an exclusive

Drybones I hope you don't burn yourself out on the portable version. I just know WiiU version will be superior. but by how much its unknown..

Mbowerman Either mk8 carries the water this year, or the ships sinking. Thats hard to say with the drought we have had

But I'm glad Nintendo's taking action with the online aspect... Even those it seems sad and all, teaming up with another friend in an online match isn't possible, which is good I guess...

Fernando, that's the problem Nintendo created. How many people will either burn out, or just not want to upgrade to the WiiU version due to the release of 3DS early? It really delt a blow to the WiiU

one of best selling points for the WiiU version will be the more stable internet aspect. they even brought it up in the direct. also, frankly, i want to play with a pro controller..not a circle pad.

drybones, i think thats a valid concern, but it could end up just warming people up for the 'real' version on wiiU....

Dry Bones is right. I don't have a problem with a Winter release at all. Will push more hardware, they can release Bayonetta, Hyrule Warriors, and X during the inbetween time...

But releasing SSB on 3DS possibly 4-5 months before Wii U version? What would be the reason to 1) buy both versions and 2) get the Wii U version? I recommend the Wii U, but Nintendo is making it hard

Someone elsewhere stated.... "WiiU Smash. At Christmas." This is the only strategy that makes any sense to me. I will not buy the 3DS version myself; will be waiting for the U release.
