    Just Hit hard with a good fire weapon, and watch him, when he tries to get away in a different way than usual [very slow get a way] that's the chance, put a pit fall trap and some tranquilizer bomb and you just caught the ruler of seas.

    beat it up until it starts to limp away or swim bad then put it in a trap and while its in the trap throw tranquilizer bombs on it

    i tried that ethan it tricked me so when i see it's mouth dripping then i'll use my last shock trap and tranq bombs

    not when its mouth is dripping but u know when it walks or swims away slowly? and then it falls asleep. thats what i mean by limping away

    limping will show when he is cap ready, there is also an armour skill that does that. also note that only shock traps work underwater and on hard land. Watching for the limp is actually pretty easy.
