    You sheath your weapon twice as fast so you can use items faster. It's near useless on SnS, as you can use items with the weapon out.

    well weapons like Switch axe, hammer, Lance, Gunlance, Hunting Horn, and Heavy Bowgun take longer than Sword&Shield,Dual Swords,Long Sword, and Light Bowgun to sheathe so you can have enough time to avoid enemy attacks like Diablos ramming you from underneath your feet, or charging at you like a maniac. so yeah, its pretty damn useful lol :D

    Very useful 4 weps like the GS since it's recovery time from sheathing is pretty slow. Helps with getting out of harms way faster.
