    There is no "best armor" per say, due to variable weapons and playstyles. Also, are you talking online or offline?

    Barroth is probably your best bet at 3 star. The armor is slightly more built for lances than anything else, but it works. What weapon are you maining?

    i have tried all the weapons and i can only kill monsters with light weapons. i am not very good with heavy weapons, but i have dual blades right now

    I would use the great wroggi armor, I got through low rank with it. The razor sharp skill is really useful if you use dual blades.

    Just check the list of armor you can make at the blacksmith. It's sorted by defense (before upgrades). But at ★★★ village, you really can't go wrong with a set of Jaggi and a set of Wroggi. Just keep upgrading them as much as you can, and they can last you well into high rank.
