im way ahead of the quest that requires me to capture a great jaggi. no matter what weapon i use i keep accidentally killing it. what weapon should i use?

    Any weapon will work, although using a lighter weapon like a sword n' shield, dual blades, or light bowgun might make it a touch easier. Success with cap quests comes mostly from experience; Knowing the signs a monster gives when it's ready to capture, and knowing when to lighten up on your attacks will come from experience.

    In Great Jaggi's case, signs of being cap ready are that he will limp away, dragging one of his legs and groaning as he does so. Many players mistake G. Jaggi's signs of fatigue ( groaning and drooling with little movement) as a sign that it's ready to capture.

    As hawkeye said watch for the limping, every capturable monster limps away. only ones that dont are nargas and zynogres.(zynogres limp but its more of a jog instead of his usual sprint exit)
