Wolves only kill an average of 10 people every year, while domestic dogs will kill 25 thousand people each year on average!... but technically, domestic dogs and wolves are the same species... so therefore, wolves kill an average of 25 thousand and 10 people each year.

    Well, wolves as a species are classified scientifically as Canis Lupus, with different subspecies in Europe, North Africa, Asia, India, and North America, the domestic dog being one of those species, having first appeared 30,000 years ago. While there are many distinct breeds, they are all genetically similar to each other and other subspecies. But in terms of behavior you're right, (1/2)

    (2/2) domestication has had a major impact on dog behavior, seen in both domestic dogs and in feral populations. The sole exception to this is the Australian dingo, which is now classified as its own species, Canis Dingo. They have hunting patterns and pack interactions similar to that of wolves.

    correct but as a result of selective breeding very little remains. in our hurry to cultivate certain traits we have nearly breed all the original undesired habits and traits of the wolf out. so little remain no modern domestic dog really hold alot of the true wolf traits. from a genetic perspective , its black and white they are very much separate.
