Well 4D may most likely referring to stuff like using more of the senses like smell. It was done in a Shrek 4D Special and Spy Kids didn't a few years. But it was only to have special effects in the theater being used in specific parts of the movie. But that won't work for Nintendo or other companies as a next gen console. 4D doesn't really mean that though. (Cont)

A 4D figure with a 3D shadow has never been seen in real life but has been done with animation. On Youtube search "4D cube" or "hypercube". Of course I don't see anything 4D related in anyway being used as next gen consoles. That's way too futuristic.

Actually, mathematicaly speaking, 4D does exist, but, since we haven't encounered physical 4D objects, humans don't have images in their head of 4D objects. The guys thar make movies trick you, 4D movies are really a combo of more realistic-looking 3D movies and water parks with people saying water is bird poo.
