Immediately after E3 ended I was able to snap a few pics of the amiibo as the design team was putting them away. Sorry that they're a bit dark. Here's DK. Just like in the Wii U game his fur is very important to his character.

    Fox. This one may very well be my favorite amiibo. Very, very detailed outfit. Even his eyepiece is made out of a clear material. And don't forget the fur! They even nailed his determined look on his face.

    Group shot. Each amiibo has finished surfaces that matches their character. Samus has a sleek, glossy metallic finish that you'd expect from her suit. Her polar opposite is Kirby, who has a matte finish that proves he really is a puff ball in disguise. Amiibo are quite dense, too. If you hold one you might be surprised by how substantial they feel. For example Kirby felt a lot heavier than he seemed.

    And here they are, ready to be put back in a case. May be the next time we see them will be out on the store shelves? I know I'll be getting more than one when they come out but I should start thinking about which one will be my go-to amiibo when I use it with my copy of Smash Bros....choices, choices.
