  • Are they all EV trained and IV bred? If not, that's part of your problem. You can still win battles without doing that, but it is much harder.

  • Sad to say, but most trainers now IV breed, if you don't you most likely wont win.

  • Having EV trained and IV bred pokemon does help, but its also really important to make sure you cover your weaknesses and have good counters for commonly used OP pokes! ouo

  • IVs and Natures help a lot, but I didn't use them until recently. What types of moves do you give pokemon? All attacks, mostly non-attacking moves. . . ?

  • One last thing: Could you give an example of one of the pokemon you use? Include EVs, items, and the moves. Also, IV breeding can be complicated. If you find it frustrating at first, that's normal.

  • Your Mega Charizard seems okay, however, you can't always just give a pokemon the strongest moves they learn. Some pokemon are best at physical attacking, and others are good at special atgacking (or not good at either). Make sure your moves go with the stats of a pokemon, and the EVs you give it. (and try to keep moves that are mainly for ingame purposes, like Fly or cut, on other pokemon)

  • Last thing: Make sure you have many types on your team. You don't want them to all share weaknesses or all be weak to a common move like Earthquake, make sure it's balanced out. For example, if you have a Scizor on your team you may want a Blastoise to take care of its fire weakness, instead of adding a Ferrothorn that is also 4x weak to fire attacks.

  • You're welcome. Incase it was a little confusing, here's a brief summary: EV train (IV and Nature breed if you can), make sure your moves fit your stats and EVs, have a good mix of types that cover each other's weaknesses, and don't have all physical/special attackers.
