    Btw your a glitch expert... You ever encounter the Poe Glitch? details are unclear but when i either drink a Big Poe or move to the fire temple on without doing the quest it makes the poe-generally the one to the far left from the ranch on the minimap- only spawn on foot making the 4th bottle impossible to obtain without Bottle Dupe'ing an item and glitching THAT out.

    It either takes 1 heart or gives 1 heart. It alternates apparently. Anyway it happened on a N64 grey cart with the original mirror shield and the blood from ganon was red i think... i never beat ganon on there. I kept fighting redeads. Until i clicked another save and ended up as child link. I was 4 or 5 so when I finally did that, i was in favor of playing around Hyrule! Baby's first Zelda game.

    All Gamecube copies, virtual console and the 3ds verson are more or less based on version 1.2 i believe...
