    That's a long sword if I remember correctly? The quest you're on is to kill a Duramboros, I believe. He's weak to water if my memory serves me, but I haven't played in over a year. If you're going to use a long sword, your best bet is to have a long sword for every single element and bring your sword based on which monster you're currently fighting. Use the MH wiki to double check the weaknesses.

    As far as tips for fighting duramboros, swing at his feet while he's walking around. try and stay at his feet even when he's swinging because his tail can't hit you when you're at his feet. Once he's gone up and landed, focus on cutting off the tail until he gets up and is ready to start swinging again.

    Don't be afraid to farm for your gear/weapon upgrades before you take on a new boss. Especially if your sword is bouncing off of everything on it. You've pretty much no hope at that point.

    use a bugnet in the right area. (I forget the right zone is) In all honesty, google is a lot more resourceful for you than Mii Verse. If you have questions conscerning the location of items, I'd try google first.

    Feel free to use Mii Verse, one is just faster and more reliable. You can buy Bugnets from the store, or you can craft it with a bone(the most basic kind of bone) and a net I think. Carry multiple nets at a time as they break easily.
