    I use both, based on what monsters i am fighting, against the faster ones i use gunlace to block the attacks, while i use switchaxe when i know the monster well enough to avoid attacks.

    random armor is better for switch axe but i have the skills guard plus 2, guard boost, minds eye, and razor-sharp so yea i went for the gunlance and theres hadly any FF on the gunlance unless u use your shots or wyvern fire switch axes have more moves that sends others flying so yea your choice im leaning more on GL
