    the objective for the kart is to get at least 1 star in ALL the cups, including mirror cups. the glider, you must collect 10,000 coins total.

    do you think its possible to race in the grand prix cups online? i think that might help

    Nope. Online is just individual races. You'll need to win in Grand Prix mode against the AI to make progress. The coins you pick up online go toward your Glider total though, so that's a valid strategy.
