start by upgrading your weapons... and make them more powerful so it's easier to kill large monsters, qnd make strong armor... ps, hammers are best against the barroth...

a good hammer to start with is the war hammer, then make the frozen core, and to make it, you need 5 isisium, which can be found in the tundra... it helps against the cheap qurupeco and the barroth
