Microsoft is like that singer that used to be great, but is now re-releasing all his old albums to try to stay relevant. Don't believe me? Look at Halo:The Master Cheif Collection.

  • same goes for Nintendo with the Zelda Wind Waker HD, Mario 64 DS, Zelda Ocarina of time 3DS, Star Fox 64 3DS

    Yeahs2
  • You could say that about most game companies these days: Sony, Capcom and Konami have brought out tons of HD collections the past generation. Nintendo have always re-released games like Pokémon and Zelda, plus they make the same Mario games over-and-over again. EA, Activision and Capcom also tend to release an updates to their games rather than come up with anything new.

  • Yeah there's nothing wrong with a company bringing back favorites on a new system. really throwing stones in a glass house there, nintendo fan.

    Yeahs0
  • The constant re-releases done by many companies are why indie games are being preferred by many people IMO.

    Yeahs0
  • When Nintendo does a remake, they always try to add something new.

    Yeahs1
  • Also Nintendo is probably afraid of making something that will become the new Sonic 06. Also if remakes are so bad, then why do so many people want HeardGold, Super Mario Sunshine, Majora's Mask, etc. to be remade?

    Yeahs1
  • The reason why a Halo remake is an incredibly dumb, cash-grabbing idea is that Halo is NOT an old game in the slightest. They already remade Halo: Combat Evolved, the oldest one, so there's NO reason why they need to release all of the Halos in one bundle. They're just stalling until Halo 5.

    Yeahs1
  • I know, right? The only reason I would buy it is because of Halo:Nightfall and Halo 5:Guardians beta.

    Yeahs0
  • It's a nice distraction to hold off huge Halo fans until 5 comes out. What exactly is wrong with it?

    Yeahs0
  • We already PLAYED all 4 Halo games. And Combat Evolved was ALREADY rereleased.

    Yeahs0
  • That argument could be used against all remakes and collections (yes, even the ones Nintendo puts out.)

    Yeahs0
  • @Aidan- Not strictly true; I haven't played any of the Halo games and neither has a lot of other people. The remakes can help new players get introduced to the franchise. It makes sense when bringing a sequel to another console when the player may have not had the console it was originally on.

    Yeahs0
  • They can just buy the Anniversary editions of the first 2, then get get 3 and 4.

    Yeahs0
  • As I already said those who didn't have the previous Xbox's never had the chance to get any of those games, whereas now they can if they are getting an Xbox One.

    Yeahs0
  • Same with Zelda:Wind Waker.

    Yeahs0
  • Exactly... failing to see the point in this argument now.

    Yeahs0
