Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U Community

I just thought of this. Say you have five people all who are wanting to play Smash. Four people with GameCube controllers to play as the fighters, then that last person with the gamepad to be the "master hand" (not literally Master Hand) of the stage and control boss characters and stage hazards. THAT would be fun.

  • Interesting idea.

  • Well, a lot of people started playing Super Smash using a GameCube controller. Most of the older audience such as myself have gotten used to how the GameCube controller really melts in your hand. That and we really don't want to learn a new control scheme

    Yeahs2
  • i've always had the same idea

  • Well, why not GC controllers? d: C-Stick is a massive advantage. Nothing beats moving forward while doing a BAir (especially with Jiggly) or instantly doing an UpSmash while dashing.

    Yeahs1
  • But I use the Wiimote+Nunchuck.

    Yeahs1
  • i learned how to play with multiple controls in case the unexpected happens

  • Never fear! There are new GC controllers coming out. I might nab me one just for kicks. Won't use it, though. My current GC controller is perfectly tuned for me. Though, my Y and A button are starting to go out.

  • I've only use the GCN controller once (In SSBB), and I disliked it.

  • Hey, play with what works for you. If you like WiiMote controls, go for them. I do recommend trying a GC controller and seeing how you like it. The C-Stick and the overall button layout is just perfect for Smash.

  • I thought that Nintendo was just making a GameCube adapter for the WiiU

    Yeahs0
  • Nope! New GC controllers. There's a Smash themed one, a Mario themed one, Yoshi themed, and a Peach themed controller. Only downside is that (excluding the Smash version) they're a shiny, glossy finish instead of a matte finish. Gonna show off those skin oil stains and fingerprints like crazy.

    Yeahs1
  • *new GC controllers too (forgot that all important "too")

    Yeahs0
  • Fingerprint magnet like the original 3DS!

    Yeahs1
  • Ha! Usually the more taken-care of, but well-used controllers are the best. I can't stand stiff buttons and joysticks.

    Yeahs1
  • Don't get me started on that! My Gamepad and Pro controller are so smudged up while my silver GC controller just has a light scuff on the back. Matte finish master race!

    Yeahs1
  • Then they stick...oh do they stick

    Yeahs1
  • Why can't we use Wii Remotes in SSB4? Instead, we have to use PlayStation 2-like-handles.

    Yeahs0
  • I'm sure you'll be able to use WiiMotes too. GC controllers are prefered by the majority due to: button placement, C-Stick, joystick sensitivity, Z-Button, and analog shoulder buttons. I wasn't saying that ONLY GC controllers are able to be used. It was just a generalization due to the majority of Smash players use the GC controller.
