    Alright, you don't even know what you're talking about here. The any weapon will bounce off Abyssal Lagi's head with purple sharpness, it also takes a lot of damage to break the horns, and you can't even cap it since you can't set traps in the Abyssal Ruins. And also, the Lagiacrus family never gave horns in cap rewards anyway.

    Actually, let's go into the math according to my reliable sources. Breaking Abyssal Lagi's horns (which itself is already a difficult feat when going solo and using a Lance) gives you a 62% chance to get 1 Hardhorn. Just one. And it's not guaranteed. Otherwise there's a 7% chance to get 1 Hardhorn in each item slot of the first row of the quest rewards. Which is still a pretty low chance.

    Oh yes, and I need 8 of these Hardhorns to make just the fully-upgraded Lance and I'm playing the 3DS version, so it's solo only.

    I carved a Dynamo from my first Abyssal Lagi, so I'm set on that. There's no way I'm fighting it without Lance (I get around 20 minutes with The Immaelestrom which has lots of Fire but average raw), but if I can get Black Belt and (Ultra) Lucky Cat in the same food skill set by chance, I'll make sure to take advantage of that.
