I broke one of the Pounders of a Brachydios during a G Rank hunt, but as soon as he licked the broken one, it was good as new. I ended up breaking the same one again on the next hit.

    Actually, I don't think that's breaking, it's just bashing the slime off. When they break, they REALLY look broken.

    I saw the cracks on his fist coated with fresh slime. It was already broken the first time. He licks the same fist after stumbling back from the attack, and he repaired it.

    This was during online play with a friend. I had Partbreaker and an upgraded Guan Dao. Whether it was a minor glitch or last-second lag, it didn't matter since whatever happened didn't restore any durability to his arm which is why I could break it with one hit after it repaired.
