    G rank is obtained (as a general skill level) once you have finished High Rank Tanzia, or multi player port (whichever name you prefer). There is no G rank in moga unless you count Mark of a Hero or the Alatreon quest. Your first step to G rank is finishing the urgent quest in HR five of tanzia, where you kill a goldbeard ceadus. After you have slain/ repelled said ceadus you will be HR six, and

Even though it can be done alone. After you finish HR seven you will get the urgent quest Black Flame of Calamity. This fight is with a Dire Miralis, one of the last introduced elder dragons.     Slain you will be moved to HR eight, being the HARDEST of all of the hunter ranks. Here you will talk to LocLak (wrong name) the guld guy in between the two guildies. He will change your HR to the correct one that the guild has deemed your skill level. This is where all of the huge hunter ranks come from. That is what G Rank is and how you get there.

    I used to only have the 3ds version, but I had people to back me up so it wasn't bad. People need to get out of their stigma that nintendo only makes bad games. This is one of the large reasons why you don't have people around you who play MH. Its all Call of Duty and Black Ops or whatever. Mindless drivel in my opinion. Who wants to play a game where the only tactic is GO SHOOT THAT GUY!
