Some thoughts; The Health pack doesn't give 50% health, it gives 50% of your REMAINING health. So if you have 4% health left, it only adds 2%. It would be great if you just got a coin for killing the bonus enemy, & you could go to a shop screen and choose which item to get. That would probably take a lot of work, so maybe just keep it the same except guarantee 1 item per level & not skip some.

  • Enemy health isn't quite right; there should be less increase between waves & more during waves. If your towers can kill the last enemy of wave 10, they should be able to kill the 1st enemy of wave 11. If you start a level & can't kill a single enemy, then how are you supposed to upgrade? If you can either kill all of them or none of them, then you might as well just have 1 enemy per level.

  • It would be great to have more than one A-Bomb, but you wouldn't want to make it too easy. If you added an item shop for the bonus items, the A-Bomb could cost 3 coins while the other items just cost one. That would be pretty balanced if you got 1 coin per level.

I get what you're saying about enemy health, but I kind of like that plans fail so quickly in this game. In this way, you can see the exact moment your current strategy has failed, making it easier to deduce why the strategy failed and thus more easily rewinding your thought process a few waves and planning how your next build order can deviate to accommodate the impending failure.

It's a large part of why I feel this game is more fun to replay than others in the same genre.

  • Yeah, but I'm the World Record Holder for this game with over 2 Million points, so I've already gone over my strategies. I've deduced why my strategy failed at 2 Million, & the answer is that the first enemy of the wave starts off too strong to kill, and also I got too many health packs instead of more useful items. I still have a few more things to try, but I'm not sure I'll ever get 3 Million.

So, just like any other time your build failed, you should be trying to identify where your upgrade path went wrong. I don't see how your failure at 2 million points is any different than a failure at 2,000. I think Endless Mode is exactly what you're looking for. Also, 2 mil is way above what anyone else has done and may just be the best actually possible!

Your item shop idea could be pretty interesting, though! I don't have any problems if the designer would like to investigate that.

  • Item shop for bonuses would be an interesting idea.
