    Cut the tail off of a High rank Rathalos, or a low rank rathalos. Then capture it. Capping increases the chances of getting rare drops.

    I'm going to assume you're low rank. It's pretty rare, but, to maximize your chances, break the head, cut the tail and capture it. Also, there's a chance you can get it on shiny drops.
