    It really isnt hard. the hard part is getting use to the concepts and details of the game, but that depends on one's adaptability and learning capabilites. this isnt a typical hack'n'slash game, those types of attitudes will see you getting mauled. theres alot of details to grasp, like weapon types, skill sets, elemental weakness/resistances, blights, monster movement sets and much more

    at times for a starter this game can be overwhelming, but as for veterans of past mh games, as well as those who have hunted a fair bit, might find this game time consuming [time sink] fun, difficult [if your group hunting with some real characters..] or even relaxing. ultimately depends on one's attitude or cup'o'tea i'd assume. In the end time will make this game easy as one becomes experienced

    for veterans, remember there was a time where we faced a Kut'ku....which for most turned out to be a very tough fight. but after many hunts, trial and errors...and cheese.. we got very good to the point we look back and go 'how the heck did that clown ever beat me?' [ommiting those of course who had no trouble] and bear in mind..most had to hunt solo unless you had locals or adhoc.

    I guess i should add, this IS a time sink game [time consuming] so expect to put in alot of hours...which can add up to the hard part, time.. how many times must we be denied by the desire sensor!!! [patience...patience...and alot of mule perseverance [nintendo's censoring what i intended to put.]

    In general no mh title is really hard overall, it may seem that way at 1st when ur completely new 2 the series but as u adapt, gain more knowledge on the monsters as well as the weps/armors, and become more compatible with ur weps u'll soon learn that its not as hard as most make it out 2 be, its all about adapting 2 ur surroundings and learning the monsters patterns, once u got their pattern-

    Yeah, all of you basically said it for me. I adapted to the game rather quickly. I didn't come into the game swinging my swords around like a madman.
