    I think you only need to unlock more monsters on moga woods(AKA complete more offline quests), you will get the final upgrades for trade when you can get 4 or 5 star commodities.

    If I remember correctly, I think they just kind of upgraded on their own as I did more village quests. But I could be remembering wrong,
