    ya stygian can be a real pain, i would recommend something with decent dragon resistance like zinogre x armor, other than that, his moveset is really easy to memorize, good luck!

    Use either status inflicting weapons or thunder based elements on him. Also, take note of your armor's dragon res. If it's below +20, he will be able to dragonblight you, which cancels your weapon's status/elemental attributes. So bring nullberries if your dragon res isn't 20 or higher. if your dragon res is a negative number, his dragon attacks will do extra damage to you.
