    There are three Deku trees in WW. Two died long ago. One became the forbidden forest. (probably from OoT because of the Kokiri symbols on the doors) One became Forest Haven. And the only one that currently lives is the middle-aged deku tree that gives you the deku leaf.

    jes. it is. the first dungeon in zelda 1 is in a tree, so on that timeline it gannon killed it before it could grow up. in the wind waker timeline, he grew up.
