STOP COMPLAINING: Τhe word "B A S T A R D" offends only British people for some reason. It does not offend the same way the rest of the European countries and the United States. Maybe they should make a special name change for the UK but I don't think it would make sense financially. Cheers!

    I thought it was considered to be more offensive in the U.S. Them Yanks get their knickers in a twist over everything. = The word is permitted under the PG rating in the U.K. (and there have been some exceptions where it has been permitted even under the G rating), and the word has, to my knowledge, always been permitted under the G rating in Australia (unless that has changed in recent years).

    It's actually the other way around. For example, remember the Mario Party game on Wii? That was published everywhere in the world but at the last minute it was withdrawn from the UK because of the aforementioned word.

    Generally speaking, Today, if you were called a b, it probably has nothing to do with whether or not your parents are married: it just means someone doesn't like you (unless they call you a magnificent b, which is a compliment). B on all other territories means more or less phony or fake. When you think b, think illegitimate.

    Actually, Mario Party 8 was withdrawn due to the use of a word that is used to describe people who suffer from cerebral palsy. There was an organisation in Australia called "The … Centre", but they changed their name in 2011 to the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. Frankly, I think it's obscene that the word is censored at all. It's not a profane word and it certainly isn't offensive.

    I don't mind having a swear word in a game title but i do mind getting reported by admins for far less and i buy to support at then and i got Miis banned coz a mii once said fill in missing gaps T--N i put U R then i get a racial hatred accusation off admins, i protested to the point that 3 accounts are banned.

    dear me, its another word for a child born out of wed lock, it was used by kings and queens to sort a legitimate prince who would assend the throne, being british, i love the word, stop finding silly reasons to moan, its a game.

    Personally I think it is in poor taste. I've heard (and uttered) far worse (and that is my mistake). Technically we can do many things but not everything is really all that decent. Oh well.

    Stuzz, certain words, such as "stupid" can also be considered offensive to the intellectually disabled. Perhaps words such as those ought to be censored from discourse as well.
