Question

Any experienced heavy gunners know what it means when a specific ammo type is red instead of green when you change ammo? Does it mean that its not as strong on that specific bowgun?

    I'm pretty sure on Heavy Bowgun, the red background means you can load that ammo with the Crouch-Fire that's activated by pressing X+A and choosing an ammo type. In Crouch-Fire you can't move but you'll load much more of a shot than you normally would.

    What Brian said. You can also enter crouch fire mode by rolling and pressing X near the end of the roll. If you start to empty your clip, you can press B to exit crouch fire, B again to roll forward, and X to re-enter crouch fire. Whenever you enter CF, you automatically reload.
