    Butterfly beetles are obtained via Hunters for Hire. Simply send any hunter on a high rank quest (3* - 5*) and when they return they may have a butterfly beetle in the reward box. (Note: Maiden Butterflies are obtained the same way, but on G rank Hunters for Hire.) (Tip: To obtain Guild cards either exchange guild cards online or with the 3DS use streetpass or spotpass to obtain them as well.)

    Thank you! I never did Hunter for hire before or getting guild cards. So do I have to obtain a guild card from a player?

    That is correct. There is a section in your menu for giving out cards. Most players are happy to give out there cards if asked as well.
