    This is probably too late, but... I've never fought it solo, but with a friend. I myself use a lance that's got a fire element with it (Banderlance "Byakko"). A lot of it is just fighting it as if it were a regular Ceadeus: use the ballistas and Dragonators to your advantage, and always break off the horns and break the beard. Don't forget water resistance, too. That beam is killer.
