Since i main SnS, DB, LS, H, and L. Im starting to like the Gunlance. Any gunlance tips, and any tricks?

    Try not to block TOO much,thats my opinion anyway,because u might miss hit u could have done while your shield was up.

    Gunlance is about timing, knowing when to block, knowing when to stab or shoot, knowing when to combo, knowing when to wyvern fire... On that note, make good use of wyverns fire, it's devastatingly powerful, and slow to execute.

    However, it takes a good chunk of sharpness, as does firing shells, so ALWAYS keep a good supply of whetstones while using a gunlance.

    There's nothing wrong with blocking, that's what the shield is there for. If you want something to compliment blocking, the stamina recovery skill is helpful, as is using dash juice/mega dash juice.

    Hawk eye covered everything! I also have something to add. If you want to block [ Which is extremly important while using a GL] Get guard gems. The monsters attacks while you are blocking drains your stamina depending how hard its attacking and may take a little health away.And dodging is hard 2 master with a GL.

    There's a specific gunlance move that few people use: The up thrust. Press X+A simultaneously to stab up with the gunlance. At the apex of the stab, press A again to fire a shell. I've brought several flying raths down by doing that.

    Finally, the gunlance does not have a charging attack, so you will be less mobile in comparison to a standard lance, but the extra firepower from the shells and wyverns fire compensate for that.

    I use the upward slash (X+A), X, X then either a sidestep or backstep. When the monster roars, i instantly do the running upward slash, then wyvernfire. Never missed that combo so far.
