I was thinking about how i came to love monster hunter and was wondering how others came to enjoy this wonderful game. That being said, i would love to hear YOUR story about how you learned of this amazing piece of art we call... Monster Hunter.

    My friend was playing one of the psp versions at school and i was interested. And i remembered finding tri on the wii channel search and liking the videos on it. Then i got tri a little while later.

    Never have I had a love/hate for a game more in my life! The clunky movements and constant realities of nature and sharpening... but the reward of beating a Lagi for the 1st time, or getting a full set of Rath armor... it all makes this game so... NGGGGHFFAAAH! I %$#@ LOVE IT!

    i was just in gamestop looking for a Wii game to actually enjoy, then when i saw the game title “Monster Hunter Tri” i was like eh lets see how this game is...i fell in love with this game xD i hate the fact that i didn't get to play the pervious MH games TnT

    Friend kept stressing MH3Tri had online coop(which was rare for Wii)where you slay big monsters weeks before release. Him, another friend of ours and I bought it day 1. It was our first MH game. Took a while for me to get into it. If it weren't for my friends encourage, I would've probably stopped. Glad I didn't. Had lots of fun times together. MH3Tri and few other games justified owning a Wii.

    Im going to show my age, but i had the first monster hunter that came out for the playstation 2. When i seen the pictures for it i fell in love with the idea of hunting dragons.

    I have a PSP, so one day i'm on the playstation store and a see a demo for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and i'm like, " Eh, i guess i'll check it out." After the download i played it... and HATED it. I felt it was too difficult. Months later, i was bored and i had never gotten around to deleting the demo. In the interest of not wanting to be beaten by the game i set out to beat the demo.

    i have loved the game ever since that day my pride got the better of me. So i see people with similar stories and i'm like, "I wasn't the only one who gave up at first." The sheer joy at beating the demo was incredible. i wanted more so i got the full version. that's my story. i may post it on reddit or something.

    I tried the demo and I sucked. I didn't even know that potion healed you. It was so hard that I didn't stop playing until I beat both monsters, and it instantly became my favorite game on 3DS. My mom didn't allow be to get it for 6 months. Imagine my struggle.:(
