There's a theory that the Donkey Kong from Mario vs DK and DK J.r is actually Cranky Kong and DK jr is the DK we see and know today, Cranky Kong is the old DK because in DK country Cranky starts hitting DK jr.(todays DK) and says that games were much better back when there were arcade games.
