On first level, best strategy I found so far is to stick with the Sentry until about level 14 ish when it starts getting too expensive (15k-ish) to upgrade. You should get by w/ 0 damage until then. Then get two helpers + 2 cannons thing. Each opossite of each other. Upgrade as you can. That gets me to level 24 depending on if I can get a nuke somewhere, and a fair amount of money bonus.

    I know it sounds crazy, but just one. Center circle. Upgrade it as needed depending on mini boss. First level it will win w/ no mods. Second level upgrade power once or twice. Level 3-4 speed/range/number. Level 5 number/power. From there increase one or two stats per level and you should be good until level 15 or so. From there it gets trickly but I like to use two helpers, then the bombers
