    Hi tdog tim, that's a really hard question and often find myself asking the same question. The immediate answer is to simply practice. I collected thousands of anime/real pics and tried very hard to study and copy them, then I moved to making my own art and used pictures as reference. It helped me improve so much until I stopped practicing due to video games. If you start drawing, never give up!
