    Gems could mean two things: 1) A particular monster part named after a gemstone such as rath ruby. 2) A smith-able item, also known as a decoration, that get set into equipment to provide a small increase in a skill. Does that answer the question?

    Nah. Charms are charms, they give skill points. Gems are rare drops, the rarest to say. Plates for low. Gems for High. Mantles for G. Most obtainable through capture rewards.
